Rebel Netters Win Three Matches At Bulldog Scramble

ATHENS, Ga. - The Ole Miss men's tennis team picked up three wins on day two of the Bulldog Scramble Saturday, at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
In singles, sophomore Fredrik Aarum outlasted Pedro Rodrigues of South Carolina in three tight sets. Aarum won the first set 6-4, and then Rodrigues claimed the second 6-4. The two battled to a third-set tiebreaker, which Aarum took 7-5 to win the match.
Junior Juan Pablo Di Cesare lost to Tom Eklund, also of South Carolina, 6-4, 6-4. In a correction from Friday's results, Di Cesare won his match against USC's Jamie Cuellar.
Sophomore Eric Claesson dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Ricardo Gonzalez of Georgia in his second match.
In doubles, the Rebels won both matches. Claesson and Di Cesare teamed up to post an 8-4 win over Rob Cassidy and Ben Atkinson of South Carolina, while freshman Bram ten Berge and Aarum beat the Gamecock duo of Kazuya Otani and Adam Adler, 8-4.
Play concludes Sunday with one round of singles and doubles matches.
