Box Score

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Aaron Harper scored a career-high 30 points - with two clutch free throws in the final 10 seconds - to give Mississippi a 72-68 win over Auburn on Saturday.

Harper was 9-for-13 from the field and had four assists for the Rebels. Justin Reed added 15 points for Ole Miss.

The lead changed 16 times in the game, but the Rebels went on an 11-3 run midway through the second half to take the lead for good.

Auburn surged in the final minute, but Ole Miss preserved the win with free throws by Harper and Justin Johnson in the last 10 seconds.

The win snapped a two-game road losing streak for Ole Miss (12-9, 4-6 Southeastern Conference) and moved the Rebels into a tie with Alabama for third place in the SEC Western Division.

It also ended Auburn's four-game winning streak against the Rebels. The Tigers (12-9, 3-7) last month pounded Ole Miss 80-53, the Rebels' worst loss of the season.

Marco Killingsworth had 23 points and game-high 11 rebounds for the Tigers, who have now lost four of their last five and slipped to fifth in the division.

Quinnel Brown had 13 and Ian Young 11 for the Tigers.

The Rebels led 32-31 at the half.

The Rebels shot 25-for-43 (58.1 percent) from the floor. The Tigers were 26-for-56 (46.4 percent).
