He was inducted into the Ole Miss Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.
Each Chick-fil-A SEC Basketball Legend will be recognized at halftime of his institution's first game at the tournament.
Members of the 2004 class from the other 11 SEC schools include Derrick McKey, Alabama; Todd Day, Arkansas; Charles Barkley, Auburn; Gene Shy, Florida; Lavon Mercer, Georgia; Dan Issel, Kentucky; Coach Dale Brown, LSU; Greg Carter, Mississippi State; Brian Winters, South Carolina; Dale Ellis, Tennessee and Perry Wallace, Vanderbilt.
"The Chick-Fil-A SEC Basketball Legends Program allows us to honor our past and show everyone why the SEC is one of the nation's premier basketball conferences," said Slive. "This year's class of legends is the best we have had."
This marks the sixth year of the basketball legends program.
