Rebels Rally Past Arkansas On Senior Day, 55-45

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Justin Reed scored 19 points in his final home game Saturday as Mississippi rallied in the second half to defeat Arkansas 55-45.
Aaron Harper, the Rebels' other senior, added 11 points for Ole Miss (13-14, 5-11 Southeastern Conference), which snapped a five-game losing streak.
The Rebels finished fourth in the SEC West, heading into next week's conference tournament.
Reed and Harper were honored in pregame ceremonies on senior day at Tad Smith Coliseum.
Michael Jones and Jonathan Modica each had nine points for Arkansas (12-15, 4-12), which fell to sixth place in the West. The Razorbacks' offensive output was a season low and the first time this season they were held under 50 points.
Ole Miss has won nine straight home games over the Razorbacks and 11 of 14 overall.
Arkansas led 21-16 at halftime, closing with an 8-0 run in the final six minutes. Modica, who had two baskets in the late surge, scored all his points in the first half.
Harper and Reed accounted for all the Ole Miss points, as the other Rebels were a combined 0-of-11 from the field.
Arkansas built its biggest lead, 32-24, on an Olu Famutini jumper with 12:11 left. The Razorbacks then went cold, failing to score for nearly nine minutes.
Ole Miss put together a 16-0 run with reserve Tommy Eddie contributing seven points and four rebounds.
Reed hit a 3-point shot with 8:42 left to give Ole Miss a 33-32 lead.
Ronnie Brewer ended the Arkansas drought with a layup with 3:40 left to make it 40-34, but the Razorbacks could never get within four points.
Ole Miss hit 11-of-14 free throws down the stretch, including the final three by Harper, to put it away.
The Rebels were only 14-of-45 from the field and 21-of-33 from the free throw line.
Arkansas shot 32 percent from the field (16-of-50).
