Rebel Soccer to Hold Summer Camps

6/1/2004 | Soccer

June 1, 2004

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's soccer team will host three summer camps with the first session running June 13-17. With limited space still available for the June camp, youth interested are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

The first two sessions, the second of which will be held July 18-22, are residential camps for girls only. The final session will be a coed day camp set for August 1-4. All three camps feature specialized training for goalkeepers, and the residential sessions allow for teams to attend and train as a group.

Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman and his staff of assistant coaches, former Rebel players and top college and club coaches will stress technical skills and tactical development through training sessions during the day and full-field matches in the evening. Campers will be grouped according to age and ability.

For more information or to register, contact the Ole Miss Soccer Office at 662-915-1292, or by emailing soccer@olemiss.edu. A printable camp application is also available online by clicking on the link below.

The Ole Miss soccer team has made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including a second-round finish last season. The Rebels, who posted a school-record 15 wins, also finished top four in the SEC for the second straight year and spent five weeks ranked in the nation's top 25.
