OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss will be going for the Blue Draw and Red Draw singles titles' Sunday in the Ole Miss Fall Classic at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center. Lady Rebel freshman Nika Koukhartchouk will go for the Blue title, while sophomore Claire Conerly will play for the Red title. Both matches will start at Noon.

In the Blue Draw, Koukhartchouk, who knocked off two nationally-ranked opponents Friday, faced her third ranked opponent in a row, in 61st-ranked Natalie Frazier of Georgia in the semifinals. Koukhartchouk won the first set 6-3, but Frazier battled to claim the second 6-4 to force a deciding set. Koukhartchouk got off to a huge 5-1 lead and went on to win it 6-3 to advance to the finals.

Koukhartchouk will face her fourth straight ranked foe and another Bulldog in 23rd-ranked Shadisha Robinson, who reached the final. Robinson was supposed to play Ole Miss' Ilona Somers, but an injury to Somers allowed Robinson to advance.

In the Red Draw, Conerly advanced to the final after an exciting three-set win over Tennessee Tech's Kay Ngiam. Ngiam took the first set 6-1, but Conerly battled back to win the final two sets, 6-2, 6-4. She will face Judith Diaz of Kansas State.

Both Conerly and Koukhartchouk had a busy day, as the pair advanced to the doubles final of the White Draw. The Reb duo defeated Maja Russinova and Melisa Cansado of Tennesseee Tech, 8-6, before falling in the final to Tech's Margot Carter and Ngiam, 8-6.

"Nika had two good wins yesterday and it was great for her to come up with another great win today," head coach Mark Beyers said. "She beat a very experienced player. To lose the second set and come back and win the match shows her determination.

"Claire hasn't played a lot of matches so it is exciting to see her play well. This is the type of match she would have struggled to win last year. We are pleased to see her raise her level of tennis and get a nice win."

Ole Miss will be looking for their third and fourth titles in the history of this tournament. They won the White Draw singles and Red Draw doubles titles at last year's tournament.
