OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Justin Johnson scored a season-high 19 points as Mississippi snapped a four-game losing streak Wednesday night with a 70-55 win over Auburn.
Tommie Eddie scored 18 points for Ole Miss (12-10, 3-6 Southeastern Conference). Londrick Nolen scored 13 points and Brandon Patterson added 12 for the Rebels.
Auburn (10-10, 1-6 Southeastern Conference) pulled within six points midway through the second half, before fading in the final 12 minutes.
Toney Douglas had 14 points and Nathan Watson had 10 for the Tigers.
Ole Miss led 36-23 at halftime, hitting 9-of-18 from three-point range, including three apiece by Johnson and Patterson. The Rebels led 7-1 in the opening minute and built a 36-19 lead late in the first half.
Auburn opened with an 18-8 run to pull within 44-41 on a Daniel Hayes tip-in with 12:40 left. The Tigers hit 7-of-9 shots to open the half.
The Rebels answered with a 17-3 run.
Eddie accounted for nine points before Nolen capped the surge with a dunk that gave the Rebels a 61-44 lead with 6:30 left.
Ole Miss was 26-of-53 from the field, including 11-of-25 from three-point range.
Auburn has lost three SEC road games by an average of 29 points.
