The Lady Rebels keep their hopes alive for an SEC Western Division Championship. Mississippi State edged LSU 4-3 on Sunday to maintain a one match lead, but following next weekend's matches, the two teams will close out the regular season in Oxford on April 15.
For the second consecutive match, the Lady Rebels won the doubles to claim the first point. Ole Miss improved to 11-1 on the season when they win the doubles point.

Sophomore Ilona Somers was battling Karina Ledaja on court two and was up a set (6-4) and even at 2-2 in the second when Ledaja retired to make it 3-0. Freshman Nika Koukhartchouk continued her excellent play in the SEC, shutting out Iliana Pacheco 6-0, 6-0 to clinch the victory. With the win, Koukhartchouk improved to 12-3 in dual matches, 7-1 in the SEC.
"This was a great weekend for us to go on the road and grab two convincing wins," head coach Mark Beyers said. "We solid doubles and never gave them a chance to get in the matches. Now we will work hard in practice this week to try and continue our solid play next weekend on the road."
Freshman Preethi Subramanian moved her record in the SEC to 6-1 and improved to 10-2 at No. 6 singles with her 6-0, 6-2 defeat of Audrey Bordeleau. Ole Miss got the final two points, winning third set supertiebreakers on courts one and four.
Chloe Carlotti picked up two wins this weekend, defeating LSU's 99th-ranked Amanda Mang and Arkansas' Vlatka Jovanovic to move to 13-4 at No. 1 singles and inch closer to her 100th career victory. She needs five wins to reach that milestone.
