OXFORD, Miss. - Freshman Jennifer Hance from Sugar Land, Texas, received another honor in her young career as she was named one of two midfielders to Soccer America's Team of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
The accolade comes one day after Hance was honored as the SEC Freshman of the Week, joining teammate Amanda Verkin who won the inaugural award the previous week.
Hance received both honors after a stellar trip to Orlando, Fla., last weekend, when she scored the game-winning goal against No. 27 UCF and helped the Rebels improve to 4-0-0 for the third time in four years. For her efforts at the UCF Invitational, she was named the tournament's Offensive MVP.
