Andy Kennedy Postgame Quotes
12/1/2007 | Men's Basketball
On the game:
"We had them on their heels early, but we let them get in a rhythm. We really took them out of their rhythm early. In the second half, we had a big lead and started clock-watching. We did some foolish things at the end of the game, but are fortunate that we came out with the right mindset. We did a good job for the most part, but were a little shaky at the end."
On the play of the frontcourt:
"We didn't do a good job of getting the ball in and out of the post cleanly. Dwayne Curtis was big. (Jeremy) Parnell's energy was great off the bench, and Kenny Williams did some good things. All three seniors led the way, which is what we need them to do."
On the second half:
"I didn't think we played particularly well in the second half. We missed some assignments, couldn't hit free throws and we turned it over way too much, but we were still able to beat a quality opponent by a comfortable margin."
On Chris Warren:
"He's pretty good with the ball. I played him heavy minutes. He was still attacking despite not shooting the ball particularly well. He took the shots that were there and missed a couple late. Otherwise, he would have had a monster game."
