SEC Soccer Coaches Pick Rebels Second In West

The Rebels, who have claimed three SEC West titles in program history, received 50 votes to the Tigers’ 58. Eight coaches voted
Steve Holeman’s squad returns nine starters from last year’s team that finished 8-7-5 overall and 4-2-5 in league play. Among the returnees are 2006 All-SEC selections Chrissy Strini, Jennifer Hance and Danielle Johnson.
Points were compiled on a 6-5-4-3-2-1 basis for each division, though each coach was not allowed to vote for their own team. Each coach also voted for one team as an overall conference champion.
The 2007 season begins August 31, with conference play set to begin September 27. The 2007 SEC Tournament will be held November 7-11 at the Orange Beach Sportsplex in
