Strini Earns Third National Team Of Week Honor

9/19/2007 | Soccer

OXFORD, Miss. For the third consecutive day Ole Miss senior midfielder Chrissy Strini has been tabbed to a national team of the week, this time by Soccer Buzz, it was announced Wednesday.

After being named the Southeastern Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week, Strini received national honors by Top Drawer Soccer on Monday and Soccer America on Tuesday. It’s a clean sweep for the Rebel team captain, as she has received recognition from every publication that names a team of the week.

Following the Cordova, Tenn., native’s two game-winning goals and an assist over the weekend, she leads the Rebels with three goals and seven points on the season.

The Rebels, who have moved up to No. 8 in Central Region rankings by the NSCAA and Soccer Buzz, will play two more matches against regional opponents from the Conference USA this weekend when they travel to Memphis on Friday and host Colorado College on Sunday.
