'Ole Miss Basketball with Andy Kennedy' TV Show

The Ole Miss basketball coach's television show runs during SEC play and is in its 15th season in 2007-08. A 30-minute weekly program, "Ole Miss Basketball with Andy Kennedy" airs Fridays at 3 p.m. CT on CSS and may also be seen by OleMissSports.com premium subscribers.
Hosted by the "Voice of the Rebels" David Kellum, the show includes analysis and strategy from Kennedy, as well as highlights of the previous week's action and a preview of the upcoming opponents. The show also includes special segments, and in 1993, renowned actor and Mississippi native James Earl Jones stopped by the set for a visit.
The show received a Telly Award for its outstanding broadcast in Kennedy's first season on the Ole Miss airwaves. In 1998-99, the show received two awards for outstanding television broadcast. The show was honored with the Telly Award for top sports program for non-network television and cable and the Gold Award for Excellence in Broadcasting from the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters.
In 1996, the Ole Miss Basketball Show also won the Gold Award for Excellence in Broadcasting from the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters. The program received yet another Telly Award last year and has earned the Gold and Silver Awards on other numerous occasions.
The show has also been recognized by the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi and by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, District III.
The show is produced by Ole Miss Sports Productions, and J. Stern serves as Executive Producer and Raphael Henry as Producer. Shane Sanford is the show's Director.
