Andy Kennedy Postgame Quotes

1/16/2008 | Men's Basketball

On the team’s performance from the foul line:

“We’ve hurt ourselves from the foul line all season and it continues to be a problem. We don’t look confident from the foul line. We consistently missed free throws and still beat a good Florida team. That tells me we have a chance.”

On the play of Trevor Gaskins:

“Trevor (Gaskins) was huge and we needed that tonight. We were struggling with some of our starters not making shots at a regular rate. He stepped up big for us offensively. Not only the number of shots, but the timing of those shots was huge.”

On Florida:

“They can really score and they started knocking down shots from the perimeter. They are a good basketball team. I thought their spacing was excellent. They spread you so thin. We didn’t do a good job on the glass all night. That is the first time we have been out-rebounded all year.”

On the play of Dwayne Curtis:

“He can pick his spots. When we make shots from the perimeter, it really opens his game up. Dribble penetration is his best friend because it gets him a better look at the basket. He’s shooting around 70 percent on the season so he has been very efficient.”
