Ole Miss Lands Three In Main Draw At All-American

TULSA, Okla. The Ole Miss men’s tennis team will have three players in the main draw at the D’Novo/ITA All-American Championships, as all three Rebels won their final round of qualifying singles in straight sets Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

 

Senior Bram ten Berge, ranked No. 58 in the nation, dominated Kriegler Brink of TCU 6-0, 6-2 to advance to the main draw.   Fellow senior Jonas Berg cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Illinois’ Marc Spicijaric.   Junior Kalle Norberg remained undefeated (7-0) on the year downing Florida freshman Joey Burkhardt 6-3, 6-2.

 

"The guys all played great,” head coach Billy Chadwick said.  “We are excited to have three players in the main draw and one team in doubles.  This is one of the premier individual tournaments in the nation, and hopefully we can continue our success.”

 

Berg and ten Berge will team up in main draw doubles. The duo is ranked No. 9 in the country and won the USTA Invitational in their first tournament together this fall.

 

The draws for the main draw singles and doubles will be released later today. Check back to find out who the Rebels’ will play.
