Jennifer Hance Named To SEC Soccer Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Ole Miss senior Jennifer Hance has been recognized for her work in the Ole Miss and Oxford community, as the All-SEC midfielder was named to the sixth annual Southeastern Conference Soccer Community Service Team on Friday.

Community efforts with which the Sugar Land, Texas, native has been involved includes helping lead the Spring Service Project with local elementary students, which included tours of campus and an afternoon-long mini-camp of athletic drills and field-day type activities. She is a regular participant in "Reading with the Rebels" with area students, has been involved with the SEC Canned Food Drive and the Big Brother/Big Sister program and volunteer coaching in basketball and soccer.

Hance is extensively involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, organizing meetings and events, including an FCA mini-camp, and she is also involved with the Ole Miss Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 20 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
