On being out-rebounded...
"I wish it was just a one-game deal. I wish I could chalk it up to being one of those nights.' It's been consistent for us. We haven't been as productive on our front line as we need to be. They got 17 offensive rebounds. We play a possessions game, neither team turned it over a lot, but when you're giving a team so many more possessions based on them rebounding the ball, obviously it limits your opportunities to be successful."
On players in foul trouble...
"If you look at our numbers for our big guys, you've got four fouls, three, four in 11 minutes, four in 15 minutes. What does that say to you? It speaks to being reactionary. We're always on our heels, as opposed to igniting the fight. We always seem to be the recipient in a reactionary mode. As a result, you end up fouling, then you get tentative because of the fouls, and it compounds the problems. We've got a lot of growing up to do, and we've got to do it quickly."
On the game and Southern Miss' performance...
"I thought in the first half it was a pretty competitive game. While the game was a one or two possession game throughout the half, I thought our guys showed pretty good poise. When they hit us early in the second half, and it was initially due to offensive rebounding, I thought we panicked a little bit, and then it seemed as if we were looking for a 10-point shot. David (Huertas) has the weight of the world on his shoulders now, and he looks around the (locker room) and he knows he's got to be the guy to make a lot of things happen. Obviously, Southern Miss knows that as well so they gave him a lot of attention. When he felt like he had to go make plays all the time, at times he put himself in a position that led to Southern Miss having opportunities in the open floor. I thought Southern Miss played tremendous. They got some confidence. They knocked down big shots. I thought Courtney Beasley made some big shots. When we cut it to nine, he hit a couple of tough shots. Jeremy Wise stepped up and knocked down some threes."
