Bob Huggins Postgame Quotes
12/4/2008 | Men's Basketball
On making shots in the last few minutes of the game...
"Well we're coming off of shooting 9-of-23 in the second half of the Iowa game. It seemed like (we missed) 112 in the Kentucky game. We didn't make any in the first half here. We have plagues at the foul like we're shooting so bad. We're trying to rebound it at the foul line. We've got to just keep working on it. It's always a sense of relief (to make shots)."
On rebounding the basketball...
"That's how we survive. When you miss as many shots as we do there's a whole bunch to get. We just haven't shot it very well, and I think we're capable of shooting. We've got guys that can shoot. We've just struggled the last two or three games. We didn't struggle as bad from the field against Iowa, but the last two games we've struggled."
On Andy Kennedy...
"With Andy you don't know what to expect. I think that's the beauty of Andy. When they asked me in the pre-game show what I thought Andy was going to do, I said that I had no idea. He amazed me at Cincinnati. He just has a great feel of what to run and how to take advantage of what people are giving you. He is a heck of a basketball coach."
On going head-to-head against Andy Kennedy...
"I think what we figured out is that if you're going to lose, it's better to lose to somebody you like. I feel bad enough when we lose to somebody we like, much less somebody you don't like. At least you're happy for them, there is a little big of a silver lining."
