OXFORD, Miss. Ole Miss senior midfielder Jennifer Hance and junior defender Danielle Johnson have earned NSCAA/adidas All-Region honors, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.
Hance and Johnson were both named to the All-Central Region third team, becoming the 29th and 30th All-Region selections in school history.
A native of Sugar Land, Texas, Hance earns All-Region accolades for the third time in her career, having been named to the NSCAA/adidas first team and Soccer Buzz second team in 2005. She closed out her stellar Rebel career with a senior season that saw her lead the team with seven goals, six assists and 20 points, earning All-SEC honors for the third time in four years. She ranks tied for seventh in career goals (24) and ninth in career points (62) among the all-time Ole Miss leaders.
Johnson receives All-Region recognition for the third straight year, having been named to the Soccer Buzz third team in 2006 and second team in 2007. The center back from Baton Rouge, La., played every minute of the Rebels’ 20 matches this season, scoring a goal and helping with three assists. She has started all 60 matches through her first three years in the Red and Blue and has been named All-SEC in each of the three seasons.
