Rebel Netters Advance At ITA Southern Regional

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Tucker Vorster of the Ole Miss men's tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of singles at the ITA Southern Regional Championships Friday and also teamed up with freshman Adrian Forberg Skogeng to reach the final eight in doubles.
Vorster downed Mississippi State's Antonio Lastre 6-2, 6-2 in the round of 16 and will face Patricio Alvarado of Southern Mississippi next. Vorster is now 12-1 on the year.
In doubles, Vorster and Forberg Skogeng won both their matches rather easily. In the first round, they beat Cody Loup and James Turbervill of LSU 8-3. Then the duo dominated Robert Voss and Carlin Murray of Louisiana-Lafayette 8-2. They will face Tim Puetz and Alex Stamchev of Auburn in the quarterfinals.
