Rebels Host NCAA Sectional

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss rifle team will host an NCAA sectional qualifier starting Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center.

The two-day match will feature the Rebels, Alabama-Birmingham and Memphis shooting for a chance to advance to the NCAA Rifle Championships, which begin on March 13 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Scores posted at the sectional qualifier will be averaged with the team’s three best season scores and the top eight teams in the nation will advance to the NCAA Championships. Ole Miss currently sits 12th in the nation. The Rebels last advanced to the NCAA Championships in 2006.

Shooting will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and finish at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
