Rebels Conclude Season At NCAA Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas The Ole Miss rifle team concluded its season with solid individual showings from Meredith Holman and Colleen Tillson at the 2009 NCAA Rifle Championships, hosted by Texas Christian.

Meredith Holman, the 2009 Great America Rifle Conference individual air rifle champion, fired a score of 578 in the air rifle to place her 29th overall. Teammate Colleen Tillson turned in a score of 576 air, which was good for 32nd in the country. Jenna Compton, of Akron, won the individual air rifle championship with a final score of 691.6.

The Rebels concluded another successful rifle season, winning six match including the NCAA sectional, as well as, Holman claiming the school’s third individual GARC championship.
