Opening Statement...
"First off, it was a great college basketball game. It was two good teams going at it. We just happened to have the ball last. I'm awfully proud of my team. As you all well know, we've had some difficult losses. We are sitting here with nine wins (in the SEC), but we've had a couple of losses that have cut the heart out of our team. Sometimes, it's not very easy to stay together. This team deserves a lot of credit, and to come up here again, last game of the year, we all know everyone is playing for a lot, and we did it with some adversity. In the first half, we had to play without a point guard. In the second half, we had to play without our only two veteran guys. We still found a way to win it. It's huge. This time of the year, your bench is very important. Our bench was terrific tonight."
On the defense of Dee Bost...
"Like I told him, you must have some fresh legs. He was an assistant coach in the first half. I thought he was a little stiff at the beginning of the second half. Terrico (White) was able to drive by him a few times at the start of the second half, but once he settled back in, Dee was pretty good in the second half. I think he got all nine of his points and all five of his assists in the second half. Terrico White, he's going to get himself some points. He's a very difficult guy to guard. We made it very interesting in the end. We had two horrible plays to give them six points. That's part of it, and we found a way to survive. Again, we've lost closer games than this. This team needed something good to happen for them."
