4/14/2009 | Men's Basketball
White joined Nevada's Luke Babbitt, West Virginia's Devin Ebanks, Virginia's Sylven Landesberg and Washington's Isaiah Thomas on the second team.
It was the fifth national freshman honor for the Memphis native, who previously was named Freshman All-America by CollegeInsider.com, second-team Freshman All-America by CBSSports.com and NaismithLives.com and third team national All-Freshman by CollegeHoops.net.
The Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year averaged 18.4 points per game in league play to lead the Rebels and rank fourth among all league players.
Rivals also pegged White to its five-member SEC All-Freshman team, along with Alabama's JaMychal Green, Vanderbilt's Jeffery Taylor, Mississippi State's Dee Bost and Arkansas' Courtney Fortson. Chris Warren received the same recognition from Rivals a year ago.
