OXFORD, Miss. - After tying the school record with a team aggregate score of 4625 the Ole Miss Rebel rifle team will travel to Jacksonville, Ala., to face Jacksonville State this Saturday.
The Rebels tied the record when they knocked off NC State last weekend in Oxford.
Senior Meredith Holman led the way for the Ole Miss against the Wolfpack with a mark of 588 in air rifle and was followed closely by junior Keely Stankey's total of 587. In smallbore, Stankey fired a total of 581 for the Rebel high and Holman turned in a score of 573.
"We had a lot of great shooting by everybody," said Ole Miss head coach Valerie Boothe. It was great to tie the school record, but we still have ground to gain. I'm really proud of how we are performing, but we will have to be on top of our game against Jacksonville State. They have been shooting really well and will be a great match up."
Ole Miss will face off against the Gamecocks on Saturday before hosting UTEP in Oxford on Nov. 6.
