Ole Miss' Forberg Skogeng Advances At ITA All-American

TULSA, Okla. - Ole Miss sophomore netter Adrian Forberg Skogeng advanced to the third round of pre-qualifying at the D'Novo ITA All-American Championships Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Forberg Skogeng had a bye in the first round and then downed Matt Tosches of San Diego State 6-4, 6-2 in the second round. The Oslo, Norway native will face Juan Estenssoro of Wichita State in the third round. Forberg Skogeng will need to win twice Sunday to advance to the qualifying tournament which begins Monday.

Freshman Alex Durham (Austin, Texas) lost his opening match 7-5, 6-4 to Isade Juneau of Indiana.

Forberg Skogeng is bidding to join teammates Tucker Vorster, Chris Thiemann and Kalle Norberg in the qualifying singles. Junior Marcel Thiemann is in the main draw, which begins Thursday. Ole Miss has two teams in main draw doubles, while Forberg Skogeng and Norberg will team up in qualifying doubles.

- Isade Juneau (IU) def. Alex Durham (OM) 7-5, 6-4. Second round -- Adrian Forberg Skogeng (OM) def. Matt Tosches (SDSU) 6-4, 6-2.
