Hildal Named SEC Offensive Player Of The Week

OXFORD, Miss. - Sophomore Alix Hildal was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week the SEC announced Monday afternoon.
Hildal, who helped lead Ole Miss to back-to-back wins this weekend over Kentucky and Vanderbilt, scored four goals over the weekend, including a hat trick in a 3-2 win at Vanderbilt.
Each of her four shots on the weekend resulted in goals including Ole Miss' first hat trick of the year and her first career hat trick. Hildal scored the game-tying goal against Kentucky, a game Ole Miss went onto win 2-1 in overtime. Against Vanderbilt, two of her goals were penalty kicks.
This season Hildal has started all 19 games as a defender for Ole Miss. She is now third on the team in points with 13 and is second in the team in goals with six.
This is the third SEC Player of the Week honor for the Rebels this season. Junior Dylan Jordan and freshman Sarah Story earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors respectively on Sept. 20.
Ole Miss will end the regular season on the road Friday at 7 p.m. taking on Mississippi State.
