Hildal, McCalla Earn All-SEC Honors

OXFORD, Miss. - Sophomore defender Alix Hildal and freshman forward Mandy McCalla were named to the All-SEC Second Team and the Freshman Team, respectively, the SEC announced today.

Hildal started all 20 games for Ole Miss and ended the year with six goals including five in conference play. The sophomore defender from Cincinnati, Ohio recorded a hat trick in the Rebels' 3-2 win at Vanderbilt and earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors for her efforts. Hildal ended the year third on the team in points with 13 and second in goals with six. She also helped Ole Miss to six shutouts on the year.

McCalla, a freshman from Fayetteville, Ga., started all 20 games in her first year at Ole Miss. She ended the year second on the team in points with 14 on four goals and a team-leading six assists. McCalla recorded her first career penalty kick against Arkansas and was tied for first on the team in shots with 53.

Ole Miss ended its 2010 season Friday with a 2-1 loss at Mississippi State. The team did not qualify for the 2010 SEC Tournament.
