Roundball Rally To Be Held Tuesday At Coliseum

OXFORD, Miss. -- As March Madness approaches and the Ole Miss men's and women's basketball teams make their push for postseason, the Cardinal Club student spirit group will hold a pep rally for the teams Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. CT at Tad Smith Coliseum.
The "Rebel Roundball Rally: Road To March Madness" is free and open to the public, and the first 500 fans will receive a free t-shirt. Numerous giveaways and contests will be held on the court, and among the prizes up for grabs are SEC Men's and Women's Tournament tickets to Ole Miss games, a $100 Cellular South gift certificate and assorted Rebel apparel and autographed items.
Ole Miss head men's coach Andy Kennedy and women's coach Renee Ladner and their respective team captains will fire up the crowd, while Rebel softball coach Missy Dickerson will also let the fans know about their upcoming season.
The "Voice of the Rebels' David Kellum will serve as the evening's emcee, and the band, cheerleaders and Rebelettes will perform throughout the rally. Special highlight videos will also be shown on the videoboard.
In addition, the winners of the Associated Student Body elections will be announced, while the various student leadership groups will be on hand to discuss the importance of school spirit.
Fans should sit in sections N, O, P and R and may enter the coliseum through any gate.
