Tough Conditions Greet Rebel Golfers At Tiger-Wave

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tough conditions greeted the Ole Miss women's golf team when they teed off Saturday's second round of the Tiger-Wave Classic at English Turn Golf Club. The Rebels shot a 321 and dropped to ninth place heading into Sunday's final round.
Howling winds sometimes gusting at 30mph made the average score of the field 80.75. Auburn, ranked No. 2 in the nation, managed to shoot the low round (296) of the day to surge into the lead after sitting in a tie for eighth place after Friday's opening round. LSU carded a 307 to move into a tie with Auburn. TCU posted the second best round of the day, a 298.
Junior Jillian Brodd led the Rebels with a 77. She is tied for 27th at 154. Senior Sara Grantham, who shot 73 in the opening round a dropped to a tie for 27th with an 81. Haley Millsap recorded an 80, Natalie Gleadall had an 83 and Ashley Lance finished with an 84.
