Howell, Gillom Trophy Presentation Moved To April 8

JACKSON, Miss. - Due to Ole Miss' impressive run to the NIT semifinals and its upcoming game against Dayton on Tuesday, the annual presentation of the Howell Trophy and Gillom Trophy has been moved from Monday March 29, 2010 to Thursday April 8, 2010.
The awards honor the top male and female collegiate basketball players in the state of Mississippi.
The six finalists and their coaches are expected to be in attendance on Thursday, April 8 when the trophy recipients are announced at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in Jackson, Miss. A 5:30 p.m. reception will be followed by the formal awards program at 6:30 p.m.
Rebel junior guard Chris Warren is a finalist for the Howell Trophy, while All-America candidate Bianca Thomas is a finalist for the Gillom Trophy.
Tickets that have already been sold will be honored on the later date. For ticket information, contact the Museum at 1-800-280-FAME (3263).
