Moore Tabbed ESPN Th Academic All-American e Magazine

Oxford, Miss. - Ole Miss track and field junior Lee Ellis Moore was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American first team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization and publication announced Tuesday.
Moore is now a two-time ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American after earning a spot on the third team last season as a sophomore.
A native of Cordova, Tenn., with a 4.00 GPA in biological science, Moore has competed as one of the best 400 meter hurdlers in the country. He won four individual titles this year and currently ranks fourth in the nation in his event.
Moore opened the year by winning the 400 meter hurdles at the Rhodes Invitational before also claiming the event at the Alabama Relays in the following meet.
He went on to capture the individual title in the 400 meter hurdles at the Ole Miss Invitational by setting a school record with a time of 49.52.
Moore also etched his name in the Ole Miss history books when he became the first Rebel in school history to win the 400 meter hurdles at the prestigious Drake Relays when he turned in a time of 50.23.
Moore is slated to compete in the 400 meter hurdles Thursday at 5:25 p.m. at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships from Des Moines, Iowa.
The ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District and All-America teams are voted on by CoSIDA members across the country and are divided into districts. Student athletes who are selected to the All-District first team are eligible for the national ballot.
