OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss fans can catch their first glimpse of the 2010 Rebel soccer team this Saturday, as new head coach Matthew Mott's group will host an intrasquad scrimmage at 8 p.m. at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium, open to the public.
Fans can walk or drive over from the football team's scrimmage (which begins at 5:30 p.m. at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium) to catch some fast-paced women's soccer action under the lights of the soccer stadium.
The Rebels will be split into two full sides of 11 each. Among the expected leaders are preseason All-SEC picks Taylor Cunningham and Meredith Snow. Cunningham is the team's lone senior and a force in the attack with her strong right foot. Snow, a defender, is one of several juniors who will lead the way in 2010, including fellow returning starters Dylan Jordan, Kelsey Breathitt and Alley Ronaldi.
The Mott era of Ole Miss Soccer will officially begin next Friday, Aug. 20, against Middle Tennessee. That match will kick off at 7 p.m.
