BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ole Miss was predicted to finish in third place in the Southeastern Conference Western Division by the league coaches, in a preseason poll announced by the league office Monday.
Florida was a unanimous selection to claim the overall title and first place in the East by garnering 66 total points (11 first-place votes), ahead of Georgia's 51 points and defending SEC Tournament champion South Carolina's 50 points (one first-place vote).
In the West, Auburn was first with 61 total points (six first-place votes), ahead of defending West champion LSU's 58 points (four first-place votes) and Ole Miss' 47 points (two first-place votes).
