Cunningham, Snow Make Preseason All-SEC Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ole Miss senior midfielder Taylor Cunningham and junior defender Meredith Snow were named to the 2010 Preseason All-SEC Soccer team, the league office announced Monday.
Cunningham is the lone senior on this year's Rebel squad. She scored six goals and helped Ole Miss reach the NCAA Tournament and finish third overall in the Southeastern Conference last season. This is the first preseason honor from the league coaches for Cunningham.
Snow has started all 41 games along the back line in her first two years with the Red and Blue. She has helped anchor one of the SEC's top defenses, which registered 11 shutouts and a 0.64 goals-against average last year. It is also her first preseason honor from the league coaches.
The all-star duo will help lead the 2010 Rebels in Matthew Mott's first season as head coach. The season opener is Aug. 20 against Middle Tennessee at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.
Florida led all schools with five selections while Auburn, Ole Miss and South Carolina each had two. The coaches' preseason All-SEC team consists of a minimum of 11 players. Each SEC head soccer coach voted for five attackers, five defenders and one goalkeeper. No ties were broken.
