Rebels Come Up Short At Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn.(AP) - Despite a spirited effort, Ole Miss lost 84-74 to Vanderbilt on Wednesday to fall to 0-4 in SEC play for the first time since 2000.
Chris Warren and Dundrecous Nelson led the Rebels with 17 points apiece. Zach Graham added 14 and Terrance Henry 11.
John Jenkins led five Commodores in double figures with 20 points.
The Commodores (13-4, 2-2) needed this win on their home court after dropping their first two road games in the SEC and falling to the bottom of the Eastern Division.
Ole Miss (12-7, 0-4) now is off to its worst league start since dropping its first five SEC games in 2000.
Festus Ezeli had 16 points after going 10 of 12 at the free-throw line for Vanderbilt. Jeff Taylor had 15 points, and Lance Goulbourne had 14 and tied the team record with 16 rebounds for Vanderbilt. Brad Tinsley added 14 points.
Nelson tied his career high in scoring with his effort for the Rebels. Henry added four blocks and a career-high four steals on the evening.
With three 3-pointers, Warren vaulted into sixth place on the SEC's career 3-pointers chart with 289, passing Vanderbilt's Scott Draud and Florida's Lee Humphrey.
