Women's Tennis Heads To Alabama This Weekend

OXFORD, Miss. - While the football team welcomes No. 2 Alabama to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday, members of the Ole Miss women's tennis team will head to Tuscaloosa to participate in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic hosted by Alabama Friday and Saturday.

There will be a total of 17 teams competing in this year's field including Alabama, Alabama-Huntsville, Auburn, Chattanooga, Georgia State, Houston, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, Northwestern State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, NC State, Samford, Southern Miss, Troy, UAB and West Alabama.

The Rebels will send four players to the tournament including senior Gabby Rangel and freshmen Erin Stephens, Iris Verboven and Paige Keating.

Players will play one round of doubles on Friday with two rounds of singles following, then two rounds of doubles on Saturday and the final round of singles. Each draw will consist of eight singles players or doubles teams.
