OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss rifle team will continue its fall campaign this weekend when the Rebels travel to Murray, Ky., for a neutral-site match against Jacksonville State on Saturday.
Ole Miss is currently ranked No. 5 in the nation in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll, while Jacksonville State checks in at No. 11.
Last time out, the Rebels dropped a close match to defending national champions Kentucky, before knocking off Nebraska on Oct. 22. The Rebels set an aggregate score school record in the air of 2351 in the victory over the Cornhuskers.
"We are really excited to get back out and compete again after we shot so well last time out," said Ole Miss head coach Valerie Boothe. "We need to continue shooting well and close out the fall schedule strong."
The Rebels will wrap up their fall campaign Nov. 12 when they travel to Morgantown, W. Va., for a match against 2010 national champion West Virginia. The Rebels return home to open their spring campaign Jan. 14 and 15, 2012 when they host North Carolina State and The Citadel.
