Summers has started each of the last four games at point guard for his home state team. Through eight games, he is averaging 11.3 points and a team-leading 2.9 assists per outing.
This is the second straight week for a Rebel to be honored by the league office. Murphy Holloway was last week's SEC Player of the Week after big outings in wins over TCU and Miami.
