OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss rifle team will host an NCAA Qualifier at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center on Saturday.
The Rebels score from the NCAA qualifying match will be averaged with the average of the Rebels' three highest marks of the season from different sites. The eight teams in the nation with the highest averages will then advance to the NCAA Championships Mar. 10-12. Ole Miss is currently ranked No. 6 in the nation heading into the weekend.
"We have trained all season for this weekend and we are ready," said Ole Miss head coach Valerie Boothe. "Every single team member is a quality shooter and has the opportunity to reach their mark. There is no doubt that this is one of the best Ole Miss to ever step to the firing line."
All Ole Miss home matches take place at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center located on Sisk Ave. off Hwy. 7 and are open to the public.
