Kristi Boxx Nets Third Consecutive NCAA Singles Bid

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss junior women's tennis player Kristi Boxx netted her third consecutive bid to the NCAA Singles Championship, as the individual selections for singles and doubles were announced Wednesday.

Boxx ended the season ranked No. 34 in the nation and became the second Rebel to earn All-SEC first team honors three years. The Grenada, Miss., native advanced to the round of 16 at last year's NCAA Singles Championships on her way to becoming the eighth All-American in the history of the program.

Boxx is one of 11 SEC players in the NCAA Singles field.

The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships will take place May 25-30 at the Taube Tennis Center on the campus of Stanford University following the team competition.

The Rebels earned their third consecutive and 14th overall NCAA bid in the team championships and will travel to Atlanta, Ga., to face Arizona State in the first round Saturday, May 14 at 8 a.m. CT.
