OXFORD, Miss. - TennisRecruiting.net has tabbed the Ole Miss women's tennis recruiting class for the 2012 season 18th best in the nation according to their latest rankings released this summer.

It's the second top 25 ranking for a Rebels' recruiting class, as rising seniors Kristi Boxx and Gabby Rangel headlined the 12th best incoming class for 2009. Boxx is an All-American and three-time All-SEC selection. Both she and Rangel have been instrumental in an SEC West title and three NCAA appearances, including the Sweet Sixteen in 2010.

This year's class is highlighted by blue-chipper Julia Jones (Largo, Fla.,), who will enroll at Ole Miss in August. The class also includes five-star recruit Erin Stephens (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.), who signed with the Rebels last November, and Iris Verboven of the Netherlands, who inked this past spring. Rounding out the class is Paige Keating of Menlo-Park, Calif.

"We are extremely excited about these ladies joining our program," head coach Mark Beyers said. "This is one of the top recruiting classes in the history of Ole Miss women's tennis, and we expect them to contribute immediately. They will help us continue the success we've enjoyed the last few years."

The Rebels will open the fall season Sept. 16-18 at the Duke Invitational.
