OXFORD, Miss. - The fall 2011 edition of the Magnolia Cup will be televised by Fox Sports the SEC announced as they released their television schedule for the 2011 soccer season.

Ole Miss will host intrastate rival Mississippi State on October 28 at 7 p.m. at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. The winner will earn the Magnolia Cup given annually to the winning team in the series for both fall and spring matches. The Rebels currently hold the Magnolia Cup after a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs during the spring season.

"We are excited the Magnolia Cup will be televised this year as it is a great rivalry," head coach Matt Mott said. "Having it on TV will allow that many more people to be a part of it."

Ole Miss appeared on television four times last season and has been on television seven times since 2009.

The Rebels will open the 2011 season with an exhibition game against UT Martin on Friday, August 12 at 7 p.m. in Oxford. The team will report for preseason camp on Tuesday, August 2 and will begin practice on Wednesday, August 3.
