Lutjen Extends California Stay

COSTA MESA, Calif. - Ole Miss men's tennis junior Jonas Lutjen extended his stay in California at least one more day, as he won in straight sets to advance to the round of 16 at the Costa Mesa Pro Classic Wednesday.

Lutjen downed Darian King of Barbados 6-2, 6-3 in the first round. Next up for the Schessel, Germany native is the top seed, American Denis Kudla. Kudla defeated American Harry Fowler 6-1, 6-2.

The tournament concludes Sunday with the singles and doubles finals.
