BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ole Miss' Terrance Henry was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 18 points, 6.5 rebounds and two assists in wins over 15th-ranked Mississippi State and at Georgia, the league office announced on Monday.

The 6-foot-9, 210-pound senior forward from Monroe, La., keyed the Rebels' 66-63 road win at Georgia with 24 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year. His point total was two shy of his career high, and he hit three critical free throws to hold off a furious Georgia rally in the final 18 seconds.

Henry also scored 12 points with three boards and three assists in helping Ole Miss to a 75-68 upset of Mississippi State. Charged with the responsibility to defend MSU point guard Dee Bost for most of the game, he held him to nine points before Bost made a couple of 3's in the final 20 seconds after the game was out of reach.

This is the third conference weekly honor for a Rebel this year and the first of Henry's career. Murphy Holloway was tabbed SEC Player of the Week on Nov. 28, and Jarvis Summers earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors on Dec. 5.

Henry will lead the Rebels into back-to-back home games this week against No. 13 Florida on Thursday and South Carolina on Saturday.
