OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's and women's cross country teams both earned 2011 Division I All-Academic status from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the New Orleans-based organization announced this week.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

The Rebel women accumulated a 3.28 team GPA, while the men's is 3.07. Junior runner Katie Breathitt was earlier named an individual recipient of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country honor.

The Ole Miss men's and women's cross country squads both earned the same honor in 2010.
