Rebels In Second After Day Two Of Rebel Intercollegiate

OXFORD, Miss. - Natalie Gleadall fired another under-par round, carding a 71, to lead the Ole Miss women's golf team to a 289 in the second round of the BancorpSouth Rebel Intercollegiate on Saturday at the Ole Miss Golf Course.
The Rebels began the day in a tie for first with No. 17 Baylor. Despite shooting a 1-over as a team, the Rebels fell four strokes behind the Bears, who shot a 285.
"I am proud of the team today," said Ole Miss head coach Michele Drinkard. "They are doing a great job of taking care of the process, staying patient, and letting the outcome take care of itself."
For the second consecutive day, Gleadall was steady through the entire 18 and bogeyed just one hole. Back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th allowed the senior to go into the clubhouse with a 1-under and to draw within one stroke of individual leader Jaclyn Jensen of Baylor.
Freshman Taelor Rubin carded a 72 to match her best round of the season. Rubin bogeyed just two holes and rolled in a pair of birdies to earn an even-par and work her way into 13th place.
Haley Millsap carded a 1-over 73 for the second day in a row. Millsap, who earned her first career top-five finish last week, sits in a tie for eighth place going into Sunday's final round.
Junior Haley Sanders also turned in a 73 to move into a tie for 24th with teammate Ericka Schneider.
"Tomorrow, nothing changes for us," said Drinkard. "Our goals stay the same. We have already proven that when we take care of the process, the process will take care of the score."
