BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Three members of the Ole Miss men's tennis team advanced to the second round of qualifying at the USTA Players' Choice Open Friday at the Highland Park Tennis Center.

Sophomore Stefan Lindmark (Stockholm, Sweden) defeated Cedric DeZutter of Belgium, who is a senior for Memphis, 6-4, 6-2. Next up, Lindmark will face Vikram Hundal of the United States.

William Kallberg, also of Stockholm, unfortunately had to face a teammate in the first round, India native Vinod Gowda. Kallberg won the match 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 to move on to a second round meeting against Edgar Rodriguez of Columbia.

Oxford native Zach Wilder took out fellow American, Milo Johnson 6-1, 6-1. He will face American Brandon Christopher in the second round Saturday.

All three Rebels need three more wins to advance to the main draw, which begins next week. Nik Scholtz is already in the main draw with his ATP ranking of 651.
