OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss welcomed more than 70 people from 37 schools around the country, to Oxford June 20-22 for the 18th annual National Letterwinners Association Conference.

This year's event was one of the larger conferences for this organization in the last several years.

The event officially kicked off with a welcome reception Thursday, June 20 at Oxford University Stadium/Swayze Field. The conference information sessions were held on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 in both the mornings and afternoons at the Inn at Ole Miss.

Friday's itinerary also included a bus tour of the athletics facilities at Ole Miss and dinner at Woodson Ridge Farms off Hwy 30.

The National Letterwinners Association (NLWA) was founded by the National W Club at the University of Wisconsin in 1996. At inception, it was geared towards the Big Ten Conference institutions and original attendees were solely from Big Ten Schools. The NLWA eventually expanded and now includes, and is open to, all NCAA colleges and universities from Division I, Division II and Division III.
