Rifle to Face Nebraska and Murray State

OXFORD, Miss. - After opening the season in Memphis followed by the Ole Miss Invitational, the No. 14 ranked Rebel Rifle team headed to Lincoln, Nebraska this weekend to face Nebraska and Murray State at the NU Rifle Range.

The Rebels will face Murray State Saturday before taking on fellow GARC member, Nebraska, Sunday.

NOTING THE REBELS …
•With no upperclassmen on the squad, the Rebels are led by sophomore Alison Weisz who became the first freshman to qualify for the NCAA Championships last year and the first freshman to earn All-GARC honors.

FRESHMAN FIVE …
•With just three sophomores returning, the Rebels will count on freshmen to contribute this year, and several performed well in the home opening tournament last weekend. Jessica Haig (Constableville, N.Y.) led the Rebels in air rifle last Saturday, shooting a 588. Nadia Hata (Honolulu, Hawaii) followed with a 586.

MURRAY STATE …
Murray State is ranked No. 5 in the nation and is coming off a second-place finish at the Ole Miss Invitational with a combined score of 4662.

NEBRASKA …
Nebraska enters the weekend ranked No. 9. The Cornuskers are coming off a tough loss to Air Force.
